IDPA Match Info
!!!!!!!!!!
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ALL IDPA MATCHES AT THE CENTRAL FLORIDA RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB WILL USE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES FOR THE SAFE HANDLING OF FIREARMS:
NO HANDLING OF FIREARMS EXCEPT AT A DESIGNATED SAFE TABLE WITH NO AMMUNITION PRESENT, OR ON THE LINE OF FIRE UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF A DESIGNATED SAFETY OFFICER.
THIS MEANS THAT THE PAST PRACTICE OF USING YOUR VEHICLE AS A “SAFE TABLE” IS NO LONGER ALLOWED AT OUR IDPA MATCHES.
IF YOU PLAN ON USING YOUR CARRY FIREARM FOR THE MATCH, PLEASE ENSURE THE FIREARM IS UNLOADED BEFORE YOU REACH THE RANGE. IN THE NEAR FUTURE, WE HOPE TO HAVE A “CLEARING AREA” FOR THIS PURPOSE.
SIGNS WILL BE POSTED AT THE RANGE REMINDING EVERYONE OF THIS NEW POLICY. IF YOU SEE SOMEONE USING THE “OLD WAYS,” PLEASE DO NOT FREAK OUT. KINDLY REMIND THEM OF THE NEW POLICY (REMEMBER, WITH ANY NEW POLICY, A LEARNING CURVE EXISTS).
