The end of March marks a vital milestone in the membership renewal process. Towards the end of this month, we hold The Envelope Work Party. On this day, members of our club volunteer their valuable time to come out to the clubhouse, stuff, stamp, and close hundreds of envelopes that contain the 2025-2026 membership cards for those that have already completed their membership renewal. While the renewal process continues, on this day, we process and mail out the initial and largest volume of cards. As you can imagine, this task can be tedious and time consuming. Today, we showed how coming together and offering helping hands turned a process that could have been extensive into an easy and quick task. Tables were lined up, chairs were put out, and we simply got to it. The never-before-seen turnout made all the difference as we finished in record time. To EVERYONE that came out today, THANK YOU! You all made the difference.
REMINDER
All Members 50m Pistol Qualifications will be removed from their badges at renewal. The new 50m Pistol Qualification procedure will be announced once finalized. RSOs will be enforcing the new rules immediately. No new 50m Pistol Qualifications will be given until after April 1, 2025. Members with a current 50m Pistol Qualification will be able to shoot pistols on the 50m Range until March 31, 2025, subject to the other rules now in effect on that range, including the minimum distance for target placement. No guest or Member without a 50m Pistol Qualification may shoot pistols on the 50m range. New signage will be developed and posted. Please review the revised rules and qualification procedures for the use of the 50m Range.
All CFRPC members are required to be members of the NRA. This requirement is validated as of April 1 each year.
Before renewal invoices are sent out each year, the Membership Director runs an audit of all members' NRA status with the NRA. Any changes in NRA information (expiration date, NRA number, Life Member status) are then automatically updated in the Club's records.
When renewal notices are sent out, any member with a delinquent NRA status (expired or will expire by April 1) receives an additional notice in their renewal packet notifying them that they must renew their NRA membership. They are required to acknowledge this additional notice in order to complete their renewal.
After the April 1, the Membership Director runs another audit of members' NRA status with the NRA. Any changes in NRA information since the pre-renewal audit are then automatically updated in the Club's records.
Any members still delinquent on their NRA status after this April audit are notified to renew their NRA membership and provide the Membership Director with the required documentation. These members have until May 31 to comply or they are expelled from the Club.
Acceptable documentation of a current NRA membership:
IMPORTANT: Receipts or payment confirmation emails from the NRA are NOT acceptable forms of documentation.
About the NRA Member Services website
The NRA Member Services website, provides easy access to information about your NRA membership. Before you can log in the first time you will need to create a username and password; just follow the instructions on the left side of the page (under the login fields) to create your account. If you forget your username or password, there are links on the left side of the page to reset them.
After you have logged in, you will see your current membership level, your member number and your membership expiration date. You can also manage your NRA magazine preferences, view information about NRA discounts and membership benefits, subscribe to newsletters and more. You can also renew or manage your NRA membership; however, if you choose to renew your membership from this webpage, you will not get the discount offered by renewing through the link on the CFRPC web page (see below).
When you are asked by the Club to provide documentation of your NRA membership status you can simply take a screenshot of this webpage showing your membership status information, or you can use the links on the left side of the page to "Print your NRA Membership Card". If you have recently renewed your memberhsip, both of these methods are much faster than waiting to receive a new physical membership card in the mail. The data on this webpage is usually updated within a day of your renewal, but receiving your new card in the mail can take 6-8 weeks.
Renewing Your NRA Membership Through the CFRPC Website Link
The Club has an arrangement with the NRA to offer a discount on NRA membership pricing for anyone that uses the link on our website to join the NRA or renew their existing NRA membership. The Club itself is not involved in the transaction beyond providing the link to the discounted NRA membership processing webpage. Each Club member is responsible for keeping their NRA membership current and providing documentation of a current NRA membership when requested.
The link to the discounted NRA membership webpage can be found on the home page of the CFRPC website, on both the Current Members and Prospective Members webpages, and here:
