Welcome

Welcome to the Central Florida Rifle & Pistol Club!  Located in southeast Orange County near Moss Park and Lake Nona, our facilities include 25 and 50 meter pistol ranges; 100 and 300 meter rifle ranges; shotgun and archery ranges; and 10 action range bays.  The 300 meter range has target pits with risers.  Use the links in the main menu to learn more About CFRPC.

Visiting the Range

General range use is for members and their guests only.  For membership information, click here.

Visitors are welcome during open functions such as scheduled classes, competitions and events.  If you plan to visit the range, please familiarize yourself with the Club Policies and Range Rules.

You must submit one of the Release forms listed below if you are not a Club member. For your convenience, you may print and complete the form in advance and bring it with you. Please make sure the form is signed and dated on the day of your visit. Printed Release forms are also available for you to complete during the required sign-in procedure.

Guests.  Guests visiting the range, including match spectators, must submit a Guest/Student Release and Waiver at sign-in each time they visit the range.

Non-Member Match Participants.  A match participant who is not a Club member must submit a CFRPC Extended Release and Waiver at sign-in. After submitting the form, the participant will later receive a card valid each year through March 31 that can be shown at any CFRPC match and will not have to complete another Release during that time period. The card must be shown at each match sign-in; if the card cannot be produced (left at home, misplaced, etc.), the non-member participating in the match competition must complete another Release.

Minors.  Any minor coming to the range must have a Minor Participant Parent/Guardian Consent Form, Release and Waiver signed by the parent or legal guardian of the minor. It cannot be signed by an uncle or cousin or other adult friend of the family; it must be signed by the minor's parent or legal guardian. For convenience, the Minor Release form may be printed and completed for the minor to bring to the Club, SO LONG AS IT IS PRINTED ON TWO SIDES OF THE SAME PIECE OF PAPER. Please make sure the form is signed and dated on the day of the minor's visit.

We have addressed our temporary insurance issue and bound new coverage. We are very sorry for the inconvenience the closing of Club has caused, and would never have done so if it wasn't a possible existential threat to the continued operation of the Club.

The Club will re-open on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 12:00pm (NOON). The insurance issues will be discussed at the General Membership Meeting on Monday night, November 4, 2024 at 8:00pm, for those members who are interested.

Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding.

RANGE REOPENING
The Club will reopen on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Some individual range and parking areas will remain closed due to standing water or saturated ground, but we wanted to reopen the Club as soon as possible. Please obey any signs about individual range closures or No Parking areas. Please do not drive on any ground that is still saturated with water, regardless of any signs. Your cooperation in this regard is appreciated. Also, if you would like to volunteer for the groundskeeper crew to help keep the Club open, neat, and functional, please send an email to our Range Officer, Dennis Eichelman, at rangeofficer@cfrpc.com.

RULE CHANGE MANDATING EYE PROTECTION
Due to insurance underwriting requirements, the Executive Committee, pursuant to the Club Bylaws, Article Six, Paragraph H and Article Fourteen, Paragraph A, passed an emergency change to the Club's Rules to now REQUIRE that EVERYONE on a HOT firearm line now wear eye and ear protection. Other provisions of the rules which require wearing eye or ear protection at other times and in other places still apply. This change is EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. These changes to the Rules will be discussed at the Executive Committee Meeting on Monday, October 21, 2024.

With regret, the Executive Committee of the Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club has accepted the resignation of the President, Russ Coley, effective December 31, 2023. Mr. Coley has served the Club as President since 2019, and he previously served as the Club's Chief Instructor for 13 years. The Club offers its thanks to Mr. Coley, and wishes him well. His contributions to the Club over many years of service have been outstanding.

At the December 18, 2023 Executive Committee Meeting, pursuant to Article Six, Section J of the Club Bylaws, the Executive Committee voted to appoint Ernest Myers to serve as President for the remainder of Mr. Coley's regular two-year term, starting on January 1, 2024. Following that vote, Mr. Myers resigned the position of Secretary, effective December 31, 2023, and the Executive Committee voted to appoint Marion Mangum-Isbell to serve as Secretary for the remainder of Mr. Myers's regular two-year term, starting on January 1, 2024. The Club thanks Ernie and Marion for stepping up to serve.
