Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Silhouette is a target shooting match in which four animal silhouettes, chicken, pig, turkey and ram, are shot from either 200 yards or 300 yards at CFRPC. The guns used must be single shot rifles, either original or reproductions of guns available from 1860 through 1890. They must be chambered for black powder cartridges available during this period. The course of fire for each bank of 10 animals is 10 minutes with 2 minutes given for siter’s at the beginning of the relay. The object is to knock down as many animals as possible within the time limits.
Come out to a match, watch and talk to other shooters. We are always glad to let new shooters shoot our guns to see if they like it. If you are interested in shooting the discipline we can pair you up with an experienced shooter.
